"Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" will not be released until next year. The film, the sixth in the popular boy wizard franchise, was due to be released by Warner Bros. on November 11 2008, but the studio has now said it won't hit theaters until July 17, 2009, Showbizspy reports.

In a statement, Warners president Alan Horn said part of the reason for the shift was the writers strike, which left the studio in a bit of a dearth of tentpoles.

"Like every other studio, we are still feeling the repercussions of the writers strike, which impacted the readiness of scripts for other films-changing the competitive landscape for 2009 and offering new windows of opportunity that we wanted to take advantage of," he said.

"We agreed the best strategy was to move "Half-Blood Prince" to July, where it perfectly fills the gap for a major tent pole release for mid-summer."

The last Potter movie, "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix", was released July 11, 2007, and it became the second-largest entry from the series after the first movie.

Warners said it still plans to release the two-movie adaptation of the final book, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows", as planned, with the first part still on for November 19, 2010.

"Half Blood Prince", which is being directed by David Yates, also stars Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, Michael Gambon, Jim Broadbent, Alan Rickman, Tom Felton and Bonnie Wright.

According to Warner Bros., post-production had been completed on time.

The 47-year-old - who caused controversy after landing an £18m ($36m) contract with the BBC - is believed to have spent close to £500,000 ($1m) renovating his seven-bedroom Georgian home.

According to Britain's Daily Mail newspaper, Ross has employed one of Britain's most exclusive interior designers to help him make the property perfect, and has also splashed out on a button-operated cupboard which rises from the floor, as well as gold leaf - at the cost of £150 ($300) per square meter - to cover his skirting boards and picture rails.

A source told the paper, "It is absolutely amazing inside. It is like he said, 'This is exactly what I want - money is no object'. It must have cost hundred and hundreds of thousands of pounds. The whole place is amazingly ostentatious and fun."

Another source revealed that the most expensive room in the house was the bathroom, which cost a total of £100,000 ($200k) as its walls are covered with a hand-made rose motif mosaic which costs £2,000 ($4k) per square meter.

Ross and his wife, journalist Jane Goldman, bought their home for £2.5 million ($5m) eight years ago. Their expensive redesign is believed to have taken over a year to complete, with all contractors being sworn to secrecy.

Morgan Freeman is hospitalized after car crash

The actor is in "serious condition" after being involved in a car crash in Mississippi late Sunday night, Justjared reports.

The 71-year-old Dark Knight actor’s car reportedly went off the road and flipped several times reports, according to the Mississippi Highway Patrol.

"The doors were jammed on the vehicle from the rolling and flipping," Mississippi Highway patrol sergeant Ben Williams said. "We had to break the doors open with the jaws of life to extract him."

Morgan and an unidentified female passenger who was riding with him were airlifted from the accident scene to the Regional Medical Center in Memphis, Tenn. According to Freeman’s publicist, Morgan has suffered a broken shoulder and arm.
