The B YACHTS family widens its range with the new model. Work has begun on the tooling for the new B42 and first boat will be launched and sea trial will be carry out in April 2008.
Following the interest and success generated by the B38, of which 18 boats are sailing through out Europe and USA, it has been decided to develop a slightly larger version in order to increase interior volumes and to make it more suitable for longer stays on board or longer passage sailing.
Therefore on one side the B38 will retain the purest proportions, with smaller cabin top, while the B42 will allow a short family cruise with a more spacious interiors which includes a separate full standing height head and a double forward berth plus higher interior volumes and dedicated lockers.
As for the rest, all is kept according to the original line of the B boats .Therefore, relatively narrow boats with high weight stability and generous sail plan. The hull is made of carbon as well as the mast the controls of the sailing functions (mainsail, Jib, mainsailtrack and vang) are on the steering wheel and there are two electrical winches for the halyard.
