After the launch of Fairline Squadron 55 13 years ago - the yacht which became the calling card of the leading British shipyard manufacturing high-end executive-class motor yachts, - Fairline Boats is going to present the new generation of this model at the autumn European boat shows.
The advanced Squadron 55 model is already popular: 35 such yachts are being built right now. The new boat comes with twin Volvo Penta D12-800 EVC diesels which should provide maximum speed of about 32 knots. The key differences between this and competing models include extended master cabin in the middle section of the yacht and more spacious flying bridge providing the owner and their guests every opportunity to relax in the fresh air in comfort. The internal areas are designed to create an impression of a larger yacht, with plenty of space and a lot of light flowing through portholes.
The shipyard expects the new Squadron 55 to repeat the previous model's success and become the standard in its class and for boats of this size. The new yacht will be presented in the autumn in Southampton and Genoa.
