Volvo conquers the oceans

Volvo Cars start the countdown to the sailing regatta Volvo Ocean Race offering the special "oceanic" line of Volvo cars. The new Volvo Ocean Race has 3 models: Volvo V70, Volvo XC70 and Volvo XC90.

The cars have a new Volvo Ocean Race logo, are painted Ocean Blue that is in harmony with exterior elements in chrome edging, or Electric Silver.

The interior is more than ever associated with sailing sport. Many elements of the salon remind of yacht-building materials. The seams of upholstery look like a sail. Aluminium insets in the floor carpeting remind of a corner sail. The unique design of wheels was inspired by ocean wave movement.

Volvo Ocean Race cars created for the upcoming regatta will be available at dealers’ offices in June 2008.
