Permanent growth in the business aviation sphere encouraged the largest German carrier Lufthansa to create their own business aviation fleet - Lufthansa Private Jet.
Lufthansa will be the first European carrier to offer their customers a full service package, from economy flights to business jet chartering. Lufthansa is expected to start providing this new service already in the spring of 2008, having acquired around 10 VIP aircraft.
Let us remind you that the German carrier entered the business aviation market in 2007, but not completely on their own: they were backed by NetJets, a world leader in shared aircraft ownership.
However, in spite of the high demand for private aircraft, the cooperation of 2 companies didn't last long, and Lufthansa made a decision to work independently in this direction.
