Super producer Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins has reunited with Britney Spears for her new album for the first time in seven years, Justjared reports.

As late as four weeks ago, Britney and Jerkins were in the studio producing some tracks for Brit’s as-yet-untitled sixth studio album, which is scheduled for an early 2009 release.

"I’m trying to reinvent her and myself. The new sound is very dancey, really uptempo, in the clubs, real aggressive, and catchy," says Jerkins.
