Amels have arranged for a meeting of captains and chief engineers of their yachts, to listen to their professional opinions about the vessels' handling and navigational characteristics.
The high point of the conference was a joint session with the shipyard's designers, engineers and the marketing team. The topics included engines, drives, engine room configuration, general layout, tender storage and other important details.
The event's agenda also included a visit onboard the new corvette built by Royal Schelde Shipyard and the hoogaars race (traditional Dutch fishing boats). The participants also had a chance to watch the installation of keel on the second 65.5-metre yacht LIMITED EDITIONS AMELS 212. Apart from this one, the following yachts are currently being built at the shipyard: the first LIMITED EDITIONS AMELS 212, four LIMITED EDITIONS AMELS 171 and 68.8-metre classic yacht built in 1991 which is undergoing a radical renovation and upgrading.
