
Cessna Aircraft announced successful beginning of flight testing of the new Citation CJ4. This is the seventh model in the light business jets line designed by the most commercially successful manufacturer of business jets.
The first test flight of CJ4 took place in May at McConnell airbase in Kansas and lasted 2 hours and 22 minutes. The aircraft's main systems were tested at 4,800 m altitude.
There are two more such aircraft currently being assembled at the Cessna Aircraft factory in Wichita (Kansas). The first CJ4 business jet will be used to test avionics, the second - durability and functionality of safety systems. Both jets should complete the full testing cycle by the end of this year.
According to official information released by Cessna Aircraft, Citation CJ4 should get all the necessary certification in the second half of the next year and will be available to the international customers from the beginning of 2010.
