The new Ford Fiesta made its world debut at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year, and has now made its Asian debut at the 2008 Auto China show in Beijing with the first "performance" model, the Ford Fiesta S.
The Ford Fiesta follows the design language initiated on the Ford S-MAX and Mondeo, both award winning cars. The new Fiesta is Ford's first car from their global product development process and will see localized variants for Europe, Asia and the Americas between 2008 and 2010.
The Ford Fiesta range will most likely feature a three-door hatchback, five-door hatchback and 4-door notchback (or sedan for most people) besides the performance models like the Fiesta ST and hopefully Fiesta RS.
The new Fiesta is a compact, light-weight car but uses ultra high-strength steels and therefor features a very high structural stiffness, maximum fuel efficiency and minimized CO2 emissions.
