"…Patterned buildings of ruthful Venice
Have a nacreous lustre among foggy tints.
All here has the seal of a withering sorrow
In autumn and copper Titian’s colours."
М.Voloshin
The attraction to Venice could easily be explained by its peerless beauty. Extremes meet freely here: diversity of colours and joy of carnivals, and dark lacy facades beautiful in their dying. An illusory obscured city on the water, being won back from the sea and having the seal of solemnity and grief, looks as if it has arisen from the water and unavoidably sinking down.
The hotel chain Bauer consists of 4 hotels: three of them are situated in neighboring buildings and called Bauer Hotel, Bauer II Palazzo and Bauer Casa Nova Residence, and the fourth hotel Palladio Hotel & SPA is situated on the other side of the lagoon.
All the hotels are located in historical buildings; they fit into a de luxe category and differ only in room types and in scenes from the windows.
Bauer II Palazzo is one of the most luxury hotels located in the historical centre of the city near by the St Mark’s Square. This is a palace built in the 18th century with façade turned into the famous Grand Cannel. Splendid rooms are decorated with Rubelli fabrics and chandeliers from Murano glass. Many suites have a balcony or a terrace. The rooms on the 6th or 7th floors are done out in a traditional Venetian style or in modern style with chairs and couches having velvet upholstery. The suites located on the top floor are done out in a charming style of Italian province with sloping ceilings and modern wooden light-coloured decoration.
Guests can enjoy delicate dishes and picturesque view of the Grand Cannel and the church San Moisè in one of the best Venetian restaurants gourmet De Pisis. Breakfast is usually served in Settimo Cielo room. There, from the terrace of the 7th floor, can be clearly seen tile roofs of the city and distant snow-covered peaks of the Alps.
In spite of its modest size, Venice is one of the most frequently visited Italian cities having all the corresponding attributes such as: numerous cafes, shops, boutiques and, of course, crowds of tourists. People preferring to spend their vacation in solitude should pay attention to the hotel Palladio Hotel & SPA located on the Giudecca island. The hotel building was erected in 1500 according to the design by Andrea Palladio, an architect of Renaissance. Initially a convent was located there. Afterwards it was reconstructed into an imperial hotel but has kept its severe style and a solemn architectural composure.
Décor of Palladio interiors is done out in warm pastel colours in combination with traditional Venetian frescos, tapestries and hand-made furniture.
The contrast between restrained architecture and a sybaritic atmosphere is accentuated by availability of a SPA center. It unites 8 procedure rooms including a royal size Turkish hammam, an innovative renovation bath and a large Jacuzzi.
A beautiful scene to the St Mark’s Square and the Doge’s Palace is revealed from the window of the SPA-center’s recreation room. Moreover the glasses have a secret making them absolutely transparent inside and completely protected against curious eyes from outside.
Except panoramic views of the lagoon, refined interiors and the own SPA-complex, the proud of the hotel is a private park what is a great luxury for Venice where each piece of a land is worth its weight in gold.
