
In 2007 the Ukrainian company Dobrynia and Co opened up a new sphere of activity that has a big potential in the modern world – the production of pleasure yachts. As of now 3 yachts have been built at the Sevastopol shipyard and 3 are in production.
Some 20 years ago the company founder Valery Nesov invested in the shipbuilding company. At first the company staff consisted of 20 experts who provided the whole range of services from order search to maintenance. One of the important stages in company’s growth was its entering the international yacht maintenance market. It allowed collecting valuable experience, raising the skill of the staff and establishing important business contacts.
Today the company has over 250 highly qualified engineers and staff able to solve any question concerning ship building and, of course, yacht building, and own manufacturing facilities with high-class modern equipment on more than 4,6 hectares.
The company has mastered the skill of making both motor and sailing yachts. The model line consists of 6 poweryachts from 7.5 to 16.4 metres and 2 sailing and motor yachts of up to 17 metres. They’re not only for private use but also for transporting tourists in the coastal zone.
The project Balaklava – a 16.4-metre steel motor yacht – is aimed at business people. It’s a 3-cabin steel motor yacht with a cruising speed of 12.5 knots. The project is designed by the well-known studio ALA with participation of 2 high-reputation design studios from Italy, Blue Film Yacht and ID&AC (Vioreggio). The yacht is for cruising in the Black Sea and Mediterranean and hosting business meetings for groups from 12 people. The exclusive interior is designed by the Italian masters: the combination of precious wood types creates a unique atmosphere of comfort and luxury. Two 257-hp Volvo Penta D7 engines are installed at the yacht. Her maximum speed is 15 knots; the cruising speed is 13 knots.
Another interesting project of a luxury motor yacht is the 15.36-m Omega. She has 3 cabins onboard. The body is made of redwood which emphasizes the original and exquisite taste of the yacht’s owner. Inside the yacht has a unique microclimate which provides excellent environment for those who live there.
The 17-metre sailing Listrigon has an unlimited sailing area and looks definitely like a charter boat: there are 4 2-bed cabins and a 3-bed crew cabin at the bow. The rigging is of the Bermuda schloop type; mainmast area is 70 m²; staysail area is 100 m². The yacht features a Vetus DT 64 engine working at 159 hp.
Dorbynia and Co offers instalment yacht construction to their customers. You pay only 20% of the cost as downpayment and are given credit up to 5 years at annual 12% in Euros.
